Shri Pashupati Kumar Paras, Honourable Union Minister, along with Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, Honourable Minister of State, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) launched 6 ODOP brands developed by Nafed and CSL with the support of MoFPI under the PM FME scheme, on January 5, 2022 in New Delhi.

The products launched included “Dilli Bakes - Whole Wheat Cookies” of Bakery ODOP, Delhi, “Madhu Mantra- Multiflora Honey” of Honey ODOP, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, “Amrit Phal - Amla Juice” of Amla ODOP, Gurugram, Haryana, “Kashmiri Mantra- Kashmiri Lal Mirch” of Spices ODOP, Kulgam, Kashmir, “Cori Gold- Coriander Powder” of Coriander ODOP, Kota, Rajasthan and “Somdana - Ragi Flour” of Millet ODOP, Thane, Maharashtra.

These products will soon be followed by other products and brands currently being developed under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprise (PM FME) Scheme by Nafed. CSL is Nafed’s Strategic Partner and is supporting the project for product development, training, branding and marketing as the Project Implementation Partner.

The PM FME scheme aims to organise and upgrade Micro Food Processing Enterprises (MFPEs) in the country. The scheme has adopted the One District One Product (ODOP) approach and is an integral part of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of giving a push to India’s local food manufacturing.

To initiate this project the PM FME scheme has adopted the One District One Product (ODOP) approach which will also assist in expanding Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of encouraging India’s local food manufacturing sector. Consequently, the ultimate objective is to organise the micro food enterprises while empowering them to compete with national-level market players and achieve Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

The ODOP products been manufactured following all latest industry standards and after extensive market research. The recipes have been developed by award-winning chefs and extensive training has been provided to MFPEs. High quality and healthy ingredients have been used keeping in mind healthiness and special emphasis has been put towards quality control through regular lab testing.
